It’s the end of October, and it was my most active month since I started blogging in May! Yay! I made it! It was also a really busy month for me too! I manage to post twice a week whether I had time or not…
I managed to review some cool books! I didn’t have much time to read, so I tried to pick ones that I wanted to blog about. See them here:
- If I Was Your Girl by Meredith Russo
- The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black
- The Ghost Bride by Yangze Choo
I actually intended to get If I Was Your Girl up in September, but that didn’t happen…
Books I read but didn’t review were:
Before the Dawn by Jack London, and I reread Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes.
Like, I said, I’ve been busy…
Books I bought:
What Light by Jay Asher, Ghost Bride, Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven, and Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.
I plan on reviewing What Light in December, it looked really fun. (PS, the model’s eyebrows are on fleek… #ascetics)
I finally posted a makeup review for the first time in months! Have a look at it here:
Hopefully I’ll be able do some more makeup related posts soon; I ordered some new BB Cream, and some skincare products. So look forward to that!
I’m just waiting for them to arrive, but in the mean time I have plenty of book related content coming your way!
In my personal life, not much has happened this month. It’s just been school, work, blog. I squeeze in some reading time when I can.
I had finals last week, I got an A on my Chinese midterm! I was so relieved that I did well, and I managed to get 7% higher than this annoying girl in my class. I know it sounds petty, but what can I say? I’m only a little competitive.
I saw the new Tim Burton movie, Miss Peregrine. My name is Peregrine Grace, and I cringed so hard every time they were like “Miss Peregrine, Miss Peregrine…” Is this what normal people feel like? Or are people just used to having the same name…?
Oh!! I was a fox for Halloween! If you couldn’t tell, I’m kind of obsessed with foxes… Actually the reason why I chose a fox as my blog “mascot” was because they are pretty, and smart! Which goes with my theme!
Speaking of Halloween, for this season I wanted to do something themed! So I created The Monster Season series, where I listed and discussed my favourite kinds of beasts. Catch it here:
If you haven’t noticed, Halloween is my favourite holiday! It stems from my goth days in high school, back when I flirted with vampires and befriended witches (in books lol). So I will always love October.
Anyway, now that you’re all catched up with my month, tell me a highlight from your October!
