Hi all, so I finally FINALLY got my liquid lipsticks from Michelle Phan’s makeup line EM Cosmetics. I LOVE THEM. If you’ve tried her earlier makeup, it wasn’t all that, which I don’t think was her fault because she was working under a large brand, and didn’t have as much control over her products; but she ended up restarting her brand. So, these products were of a much higher quality. MUCH HIGHER. Continue reading “Makeup Review: Infinite Lip Cloud by Michelle Phan (EM Cosmetics)”

Makeup Inspired by Girl’s Day Yura (I’ll Be Yours MV)

yura-ill-be-yours-insp-makeup-look

Hi all, so I attempted a look I saw on my favorite k-pop idol; the gorgeous Yura from Girl’s Day! I love Girl’s Day a lot, and I am so hype for their comeback! I’ve seen the “I’ll be Your’s” MV like at least a million times. I wanted to try to recreate Yura’s look, and it looks a lot better in person I think. The pink didn’t show up very well on camera, but what can you do?9a54674b064b116a13a2c9d14920b773930768ba_hq

Luckily my friend got me this pallet for Christmas! I know Jeffree is a super controversial person, but to someone like me he is a success story that all alternative kids can look up to. Makeup Review: VDL Lumilayer Primer

VDL LUMILAYER PRIMER

Price I Paid: USD 18.50

Made in Korea

Catch it Here: AmazonVDL Cosmetics

Description from VDL Website:

1. Voluminous face injected with light
Violet Lumilayer Pigment, made by combining skin-brightening red light and blue light for clean and clear skin, creates an intensity that illuminates the face and highlights features.

2. Radiance that lasts all day
Gently illuminates the face to make skin tone look brilliant all day long.

I vaguely remember bubzbeauty recommending this product a while back, and since then I’ve been meaning to try it. As far as k-beauty goes, I’ve only used one other face primer before (from Innisfree). It was nice, but it was better for my sister’s skin than my own.

I really like this one because it is moisturizing, and it’s super glowy. The product claims to brighten the skin, and reduce redness; which it definitely does!

My skin is oily to dry combination, and this product doesn’t clingy to my dry patches. It smooths them out, and also makes the foundation settle better too. If you have oily skin, this product might make your skin too dewy, so that’s my only note.

[Makeup Review]Skinfood: Red Orange Makeup Finish

I bought this product, and this post is 100% my honest opinion.

Skinfood finishing spraySkinfood Red Orange Makeup Finish (Glossy Type)

Country: South Korea

Price: $9.80

Find it Here: Amazon

Product Description:

A makeup finish that contains orange extract and a skin-affinitive oil to add a natural-looking glow to skin.

Hey guys! This is my first makeup related blog, so hopefully everyone can enjoy it. Let me know how well I did, and if I need to cover anything else! So let’s get into it~

I’ve never used a finishing spray/mist before. I picked this up is because my makeup would only last a few hours before melting off my face. I have oily to dry combination skin. There is actually a matte type too, but my dry skin couldn’t handle that. Mostly my t-zone and eyelids are oily, so the glossy type actually looks good on my skin.

The pump sprays very lightly, meaning it’s not to harsh on my skin. I know some misting products can feel like some it is hitting you in the face with a jet, but this one is very nice.

IMG_5772
I’m sitting in the sun, so that’s why half of my face is lit up. (This is with mist on btw)

The smell is a bit strong, but I actually love it. It smells like oranges! Not some kind of chemical fru-fru crap like some products. It comes in a bottle of 80 ml, and between my sister and I, we’ve only managed to use up half of the bottle in two months. So a little goes a long way, and I don’t have to keep applying it all day. Once is enough! Although, I haven’t tried it swimming yet, so be aware of that.

I also really enjoy the packaging. It’s really cute and really adds some color to my makeup collection. It’s the kind of product you can leave out for other people to see. Also, I don’t think this product is vegan or cruelty free. I don’t usually lookout for that kind of thing, so addition research might me necessary. I’ll put the ingredients down below!

Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Phenyl Trimethicone, Caprylyl Methicone, Decyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Trisiloxane, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Fagaria Vesca (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Chloride, Disculum EDTA Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol Fragrance.

(I got the ingredients off the bottle, but some letters were rubbed off, so let me know if I misspelled anything)

Final verdict? 5/5 hearts!
